So, I guess it's time for me to enter into the grand world of blogging. Amanda has been bugging me about making some entries for I don't know how long. However, in my defense, I actually had to log in under her name so that I could give myself permission to add a post! I think she really wanted the whole blog thing for herself. She only invited me to be polite because everyone knows that you should be polite to your spouse...well, haha, I have thwarted her plan!

Life is good! It has been great to finally finish law school and start making plans for life and what not. I really enjoyed law school and all the learning, however, in retrospect I could have done fine without all the stress and high tuition. Other than that, I've loved the experience, but I'm ready to move on. It seems like it's helped me to appreciate the simple things in life, like going for a walk or run with our little family. I still enjoy playing basketball with 18-20 year olds at the University and stealing the ball from them while my friends remind everyone on the other team that I'm 30 years old. Unfortunately, they like to exaggerate and they usually end up telling them that I'm 35 or 40. I don't mind, as long as we win.

I feel very blessed to be at the point that I am in life. I'm extremely appreciative of my wife and all the she does. She turning out to be an amazing wife and mother. I am also thankful for our little son Keedan. He brings a lot of joy to our lives and although at times he can be a handful, really is there anything else real important that I would be doing? (I realize there are a lot of good answers to this question; sleep, for example, does come to mind. The point is I love my son and couldn't imagine life without him.)

The next month is going to be a lot of fun. I'm taking the Bar exam. It's interesting that even after getting through three years of law school, they still make you take one more class so that you can learn all the law in order to be qualified to practice law. The class lasts for a stellar six weeks. It makes me wonder what I've spent the last three years learning. Although most of the information is somewhat familiar...there is a lot of stuff I'm learning for the first time, like, commercial paper. I'm surprised that I really had no idea what the subject was until the lecture. Now, I'm somewhat more confused about commercial paper. Fortunately, I have yet to meet anyone in my law class that understands commercial paper. So, my question, is there any real reason why we can't learn all this stuff in law school instead of learning about old English cases from the 1500's? I'll keep you updated on how the studying is coming.

This seems like a sufficient post for a first one...so stay tuned...more to come.

Sunday Evening Family Time

Keedan & Mommy

Bath Time

Keedan has just began enjoying bath-time. He is fascinated with the splish splashing sounds of the water and gets so excited. For the longest time he would fiercely kick his legs and scream like he was in severe pain. Here are some pics of Keedan's 3rd HAPPY bath-time since birth.

Dinner w/ The Zamarripa's

Last weekend our friend's Joel & Julie Zamarripa took us to dine at a very nice Italian restaurant in downtown Houston.

You know your not in a family friendly restaurant when one of the servers hears your child poot out a loud squishy mess and doesn't even crack a smile.

Here's the skinny: I was holding Keedan up on the table so that he could stand (mostly to keep him happy) while Joel was telling us a story and as one of the servers was refilling our drinks Keedan's butt whistled mighty fiercely. All of us`at the table began to laugh except the server. Come on, how can that not be funny?

Good JOb Keedan. You made your parents proud of ya.

Here's a super cute pic of Keedan and Joel posing for the camera.

Cold Play "Viva la Vida"

Cold Play's new album is OUT!!! I was reading that they were inspired by U2's music for this Album. It's very interesting to listen to. I can definitely hear U2's influence. I like the title song "Viva la Vida" but the other songs are kinda iffy.

The songs seem to have a weird vibe to them and I really dislike admitting that because Cold Play is my favorite band. If any of you have not heard any of the tunes...I've added them to my playlist below. Here are a list of a few songs from the new album:

- Vva la Vida
- Strawberry Swing
- Violet Hill
- Lost
- Cemeteries of London

Dish me some of your reviews, I'd love to hear what you think about their new album.

Happy Be-Lated Father's Day Ryan

I'm a bit late on this posting but it is still very special!

Happy Father's Day Ryan.

Ryan is so very wonderful!!! His great qualities are amplified when he is with Keedan.

I have so much joy knowing that Keedan has a father that will teach him good principles, love him unconditionally and be the very best mentor and example to him.

I absolutely love you and am excited to share this wonderful adventure of parenthood with you :)

Take Cover before the Floods of Keedan's Slobber GET YA!

The pictures are self explanatory. His mouth is a continual rainstorm of slobber easing down his mouth and soaking his clothes.

He also blows some pretty rad bubbles!

Okay no slobber here but you have to admit it's a really cute pose!

Keedan @ 3 Months

Keedan is still growing like a weed. Here are some of his latest pics.

Keedan on his playmat...having "Tummy Time".

As you can see from his face, he's ready to get up.

Keedan in his fun little jumper.

By the way Jackie, thanks a TON for the jumper. Keedan LOVES it. By far it is his absolute FAVORITE baby item!!!
